Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is happy that he has survived in the industry and is still a star despite having several flops behind him."It has been an amazing journey till now. It is fantastic time to be here," Shah Rukh said.The actor said one should not get disturbed by a film`s failure."I have done 70-80 films out of which 50 per cent are flops, still I am star... But those films are close to me," the 48-year-old actor said.

Talking about his favourite film, he said, "My favourite film is `Paheli`, `Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani`. The film that goes a little wrong (kharab) that should be your favourite and you should be proud of these films."

Shah Rukh feels fortunate to be part of Indian cinema at a time when it is going through several changes.

"There are so many wonderful filmmakers and actors who are edgy and want to take risk, chances and take Indian cinema forward, the extent to which Indian cinema has shifted from just being a trend and fad internationally to becoming part and parcel (there)," Shah Rukh said.

"Bollywood was just a cool word earlier and it was all about singing and dancing... Now when I travel abroad and talk about Bollywood, there is a sensibility and understanding of different mode of storytelling which is coming out of India."

Shah Rukh started his acting career with TV shows like `Fauji` and `Circus`.
Apart from doing negative roles in films like `Darr`, `Baazigar`, and `Anjaam` during his early days in Bollywood, he acted in memorable films like `Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge`, `Dil To Pagal Hai`, `Kuch Kuch Hota Hai`, `Devdas`, `Swades`, `Chak De India`, `Chennai Express` among others.

Actress Priyanka Karki‘s first movie as an actress is yet to release while many other movies featuring the actress have already been released. Priyanka’s first movie by release is ’3 Lovers’, but she had completed the shooting of ‘Mero Best Friend’ before any other movies.
   

After winning Miss Teen title in 2005 Priyanka went to the USA to study. She returned back to Nepal after the completion of her studies to make a career in Nepali film industry. The effort has paid off and Priyanka has managed to establish herself as a hot cake in the industry.

Attached below is a song from her upcoming movie ‘Mero Best Friend’. The movie scheduled to release on Baisakh 12 (April 25) features Resh Marahatta, Diwas Upreti and Priyanka in lead roles. The movie features the cinematography of Bidur Pandey and music of Rajan Raj Siwakoti. Another movie, ‘Kabaddi’ is also scheduled to release on the same day.

Actress and model Keki Adhikari is debuting in theater as Charumati. While everybody else were celebrating Shivaratri, Keki and the ‘Charumati’ team spent the night at the Theatre Village to rehearse for the play. The rehearsal went on for the whole night.‘Charumati’, a historical dance play is written by Satya Mohan Joshi and directed by Bimal Subedi. Originally written in Newari, the play was translated in Nepali by Rajendra Maharjan.


The cast of the play include Aruna Karki as Tishyarakshita, Keki Adhikari as Charumati, and Puskar Gurung as Sthunko. The play will start at Theatre village from March 2.

Nepali actress Pooja Chand, has decided to marry for the second time in the US. Pooja’s new husband is Raju Lama, the lead singer and lead guitarist of The Angles band. Pooja has been living in the US for the last five years after her previous marriage with Suraj Chand couldn’t continue.

After marrying and living together with Raju Lama for almost three years, Pooja Chand made it ‘official’ in a similar ceremony on February 22, 2014.

In May of 2011, we wrote about their marriage. After that, they had started living together in Baltimore, US. At that time, they had promised to perform a formal marriage ceremony within the next three months. It seems, the three months extended to three years until they performed the rituals.

Raghav is a romantic love story which portrays long distance relationships, break ups and new relations. The main character Raghav in the movie seems to carry on with new relationship to forget his past tragedies. Looking at the trailer of this movie we can expect that this movie can be the next blockbuster movie in Nepali Cinema history.

The movie songs like "Timro Tyo Boli le" by Sanjeev Singh and "Komal Timi" by "The Maya Band" are very soothing and touching.

The Shadows is a rock band from Narayangarh, Chitwan, Nepal. They were established in 1997/1998 and their first album was titled “Suna Hamro Awaz”.

Their second album, “Hidne Manche Ladcha”, was a success in the Nepali market and earned them the best band, best music and best performance of the year 2006. The band is mostly popular for its influential lyrics that discusses social issues and awareness. They traveled to three different cities of Australia as a part of their international tour in 2011.

The band has four members: Swapnil Sharma in Vocals, Prashant VK in Rhythm guitar, Prakash Rasailey in Lead guitar, and Amit Pradhan in Bass. Rupesh Sen is the band manager.

A quick glance at Jhola's synopsis on the film’s website and few would be excited to watch it. However, even at a time when ‘new-age’ Nepali cinema is characterised by glitzy packaging and fancy camera tricks, this sorrowful tale depicting the cruel and inhuman practice of Sati in Nepal defies expectations.

Based on author Krishna Dharabasi’s story of the same name, the film begins when an old man called Ghanashyam (Sujal Nepal) leaves his bag for a night at the writer’s home. Suspicious, the writer checks the contents of the bag only to find an old manuscript which contains 11 short stories. As Dharabasi starts reading, he is transported to Nepal of the 18th century. We are introduced to a young Ghanashyam who lives with his mother Kanchi (Garima Panta) and his ailing father (Desh Bhakta Khanal). After her husband passes away, Kanchi’s life becomes a nightmare.

Expected to sacrifice herself on the funeral pyre, Kanchi enters almost a daze like state and goes from being a strong-willed, loving mother to a helpless widow. As she prepares herself for the ceremony and Ghanashyam comes to terms with being orphaned, the anguish of both mother and son becomes palpable on screen. While expertly depicting the pain of the protagonists, director Yadav Kumar Bhattarai also explores the tender relationship between a mother and a son, which imbibes Jhola with a soul that has been missing in most Nepali movies pre and post the success of Loot.

Story: Set in a fictitious city called Strathaven in North America, the film is about a series of events that follow a diamond heist planned by a mysterious hacker named Roman.

Review: Before you think that this film has something to do with the rock-paper-scissors-stone game, nope, it has got nothing to do with that. Instead, by the end of the film, you are meant to deduce that 'rock' stands for diamonds, 'paper' for information, 'dice' for chance or certainty and 'enter' denotes technology.

Roman, along with two associates, hacks into Strathaven's 'security protocol' and then uses the threat of national security as bargaining leverage when he speaks with Strathaven's figures of authority. As Roman then periodically calls the police chief and various other officials over an electronically distorted internet call, he tells them what he's really after is world peace. The diamond heist is also connected to the cat-and-mouse game Roman plays with the officials.

What is surprising is that in dealing with this threat to 'national security', the cops apparently struggle to trace a scrambled VOIP call. There are gaping plot holes, no character sketches and a shocking lacuna of logic at many points. Even more confounding is the plot, which is more muddled than the murky and gloomy atmosphere of the movie. The script borders between being rudimentary to random. It is made worse by the delivery and the poor acting that underscores everything.

One redeeming factor is the music, which is good in small parts. However, the same pieces of music are used over and over again and loudly, even in sequences that could have worked using silence. One of Roman's partners, Kat (Dicey) at one point exclaims 'What is the point?' or something similar, which might have you wondering whether it's a comment about the movie itself. The only noteworthy thing about the movie is the concept it started out with - which to be fair, is unique. But despite that, it goes wrong in almost every other department.
